05 Nov Natasha Bitancurt
Natasha Bitancurt was born and raised on the East coast of Australia, moving to the Tweed Coast when she was two.
Her latin pop acoustic style came from the listening of a variety of artists including Panic! At The Disco, John Mayer, Shakira, Fall Out Boy and Macklemore.
From a young age, music has been an integral part of growing and learning about the world. Natasha believes that music should not only be a form of entertainment, but also a form of communication and expression; it’s more than just having a catchy melody. This belief has led Natasha to write both personal, political and light-hearted tunes.
One of her greatest achievements so far has been the recording of two of her originals “Stained Heart” and “Stay Awhile”, on the show On Song Australia in 2017. Ever since, she has been performing her originals to variety of audiences and loves the range of reactions and audience types when performing.
On the 25th April 2016, Natasha released her first single Stained Heart from the compilation album ALL AT SEA. Her second single Stay Awhile, also from the album, was released shortly after on the 14th May 2016. All proceeds from this album go to the Kids in Need Association.
Natasha is currently writing and recording her debut solo album which is set to release in 2019. In the meantime, she performs along the East coast at events such as Airlie Beach Battle of the Bands, Buskers by the Creek, Moo Oz Fest and On Song International.
